Politics - Do we need an Enema ??

Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.  ~Richard Armour

There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle.  ~Alexis de Tocqueville

4.5 Cherries - The Devil Himself Review

Luca has lived a long and sheltered life. Dubbed by many as
“The Jersey Devil”, he resides peacefully and alone in the Barren
Woods, where no one can find him. It’s a lonely existence, but necessary for one such as he.
Until photographer Chandra Burke comes along. After saving
her life, Luca feels obligated to keep her with him until she heals. But as hours with her turn to days, and then weeks, he finds he wants to keep her for an entirely different reason—for him.
Can Chandra and Luca overcome Luca’s view of himself,
a pesky wizard, and a possessive demon to be together? Or will the Fates allow love to slip past Luca once again?

... I was intrigued by this story from the very beginning. Luca
stole my heart with his insecurities and doubts. He was a perfect example of why people shouldn’t judge others based on their looks. As for Chandra, I found her very likeable and thought she was very accepting especially once she learned about Luca and his life. They made a lovely pair as both taught each other about love, trust, and acceptance.

I really enjoyed the author’s unique approach. This wasn’t an ordinary boy-meets-girl story as it featured a creature that some might find hard to love, yet the author was able to humanize the beast in the story and make me the reader, fall for him as well. I found the author’s use of an imperfect hero refreshing and interesting.

This was a very touching love story that I would definitely recommend to those looking for something a bit different.

Excerpt

He noticed her head tilting toward the direction of his voice, and his brows arched as she lifted out of the water enough to tease him before going back down. “Are you flirting with me?”
“Enticing you to come and join me,” she replied as she rolled in the water, bringing her front into view. “Is it working?”
The ripples in the water vibrated against her as he landed. His hands moved to her waist, drawing her to him. “You tell me,” he breathed as he brought his mouth down to hers.
Her arms lifted around his neck, his soft fur rubbing against her nakedness.
Luca’s tongue invaded her mouth, kissing her deeply as his hands roamed her body. Luca groaned as he waded to a shallow spot, sat down and brought her onto his lap, feeling her body tremble as her bottom touched his hard cock. She turned on his lap to straddle him, moaning as his touch became more aggressive, his hands running up her sides, the light touch of his claws making her tremble again. Luca’s lips parted, panting with lust for her.
“Luca,” she whispered.
His mouth moved to her neck, leaving nips in its wake. Her hands moved up his shoulders to his head and into his hair, her moan causing his thick cock to twitch as he rubbed it against her clit. Luca groaned loudly when her fingers grazed the base of his horns at the top of his head. “Don’t,” he rasped.
“Why?” She breathed heavily.
“It’s a pleasure point.” Moaning as she wrapped her fingers around them, Luca lifted his mouth back to hers. Thrusting his tongue in roughly, he moved his hand to her breast, and her body shook with uncontrollable pleasure.
“Oh God, Luca,” she gasped.

Recommended Reads & 5 Heart Reviews Mercenaries of Neris Series

 Review Snippets

A Slave’s Way Out –
C.A. Salo has outdone herself and I trust this is only the beginning of a bookshelf
overflowing with sexy sci-fi treats. I hope there will be a story showcasing
Trea and Daniel since their characters made such a lasting impression and added
to what was already an outstanding read which I definitely recommend to the
masses.
   Indy ~ Joyfully Reviewed

I've read a lot of books over the years, but A Slave's Way Out is one of the
hottest I've read in a long time. It isn't just the chemistry between Catrin
and Niko, which explodes off the pages, or the dynamics of the secondary
characters. It's that C A Salo shows a woman can be not only outstanding
in her job that she fights for but also that she can be dominated by her lover and
not look weak. When the reader first starts reading this book they are sucked
into a different time and space right off the bat and aren't let go of until
the last word is read. They realize the voyage is over. I hope C A Salo writes
more about these characters as the world she's created is one you'll want to
visit over and over again to see how each one is doing. This is definitely
going on my keeper shelf and I am looking for more of her stories.  Reviewed by: Donna ~ FAR

Hi C. A.!
I just purchased and read A Slave's Way Out tonight--in one night--when I
should be working on my own writing! Catrina and Niko are dynamite, root for
them hero and heroine. I absolutely loved Catrina's spunk and Niko's sweetness.
Nice to see an alpha guy with more than a hint of sensitivity. I'm jealous by
how well you portrayed him, truth be told. You have the talent. I can't wait to
read Trea's story now.

The battle of wills is quite the story to read, as well
as the D/s roles that are portrayed in private. The D/s play, to me, reads more
as a pleasurable tangent in their relationship, rather than a hardcore D/s
relationship with the couples boundaries defined and unbreakable.

I also liked the fact that Cat was every bit the woman she claimed to be, and then some. A Fighter Pilot for the U.S. Navy on Earth, she shows Niko and the male dominated mentality of his planet just what makes an Earth woman worth her weight in gold. Well done C.A! Now where's Daniel and Trea's story?

I absolutely loved A Slave’s Way Out by C.A. Salo.
The action starts on the very first page and segues into a beautiful love story
that my eyes ravenously devoured. The complete lack of pretense between Catrin
and Niko is very refreshing and their relationship, both in and out of bed, is
beautiful and complete. Catrin is a force to be reckoned with and when things
get tough, she thrives. The action scenes with the fighter ships had my pulse
racing and my heart in my throat – like scenes directly out of Star Wars, they blew me away! The love scenes are hot and very erotic, laced with emotion and intense chemistry. I
never wanted this story to end and am excitedly looking forward to reading
Trea’s story.
Kerin ~ Two Lips

C. A. Salo has brought us to glorious worlds where men and woman play games of love,
bondage, domination, and submission, but who are also able to learn that the
games can be just that, GAMES…Niko is forced to learn she is his equal in many
ways, and to his chagrin, superior in some…For Catrin she also learns that
submission does not mean she is Niko’s doormat, but it can be a rewarding
exchange of power for power, and a strong expression of trust. A Slave’s Way Out is filled with passion, unbridled fun and excitement as Ms. Salo takes the reader on a sensual trip of discovery right along with her handsome hero, and his strong and sensual heroine…Keep a watchful eye out for this wonderfully erotic romp come September. Torrid has a new crop ripening then, and this is definitely one plum you don’t want to miss!
A Slave’s Way Out
Review from: Rose @ romanceatheart.com

C. A. Salo introduces us to a world which is filled with games of love,
bondage, and some excellent dominating and submission scenes in this wonderful
book she has written. Ms. Salo offers us a story which is filled with all kinds
of kinky action along with a really great story line. Within the pages of this
book you will love the sexual games that are played out between Catrin and
Niko. Catrin will eventually learn that when she submits to Niko's sexual
demands, that they are partners in every way -- much to Niko's surprise.

I like the way Ms. Salo weaves the sexual fantasies with the other
parts of the story she sets out for us. The determination of the Alien race,
who would stoop to any means necessary to accomplish their evil deeds, is
astounding. But Niko will become our hero in how he handles not only the
unexpected love he came to have for Catrin but also the threats against her.
This book is definitely one of the hottest and chemistry filled book written
for everyone to enjoy. And I look forward to reading more of this author's
other books.

Night Owl Reviews
A Warriors Longing is definitely steamy. The chemistry between Lord Gage and
Meiken is strong enough to raise anyone’s blood pressure. C.A. Salo did an
excellent job blending the sci-fi, romance and erotica genres. Not everyone can
do it so seamlessly.
