Iron Man ... Drool ... Thor ... Sigh

Ah yes, another Iron Man movie with the delectable Robert Downey Jr, playing one of Marvel's hottest super hero's ... did I just say delectable?? *Grins* hold on and let me grab a tissue to wipe the drool.

Being an avid hero watcher :-) I do love the Marvel movies, although I have to say so far Thor and the Iron Man movies top the other pre-Avenger releases. I did love them all, and the Avengers was awesome! I can't wait to see Iron Man 3 releasing on May 3rd, 2013, and the next Thor movie releasing in November 2013.

I just hope the makers and Stan Lee, know when to stop.
Please don't let them go on like Freddie and Jason 2000, Rocky, and I hate to say it, Disney's Pirates. While I love Johnny Depp and his role as Jack Sparrow, they really should have stopped at Pirates 3. I don't think they did anything for themselves by making a 4th movie. I know I scowled a bit, and said, Another one, really *sigh*.
And I LOVE the Pirate movies!

Here are the trailers .... have fun watching ;-) I know I did.

And of course here's Thor 2 - The Dark World

Have fun all and remember these movies started out as Comics so read lots!!

Release Date - The Other Kin Series Book 2

The Dragon's Vamp will release July 2013!!
How sweetly awesome is that!!!!

The Dragon's Vamp is the love story between Mari & Rhys from
Book 1 - The Werewolf's Mate.

The 3rd manuscript is almost finished and the fourth is already plotted. Hehe :-)
I LOVE my job, which is also my passion!!!!

Here's a little tid-bit of what to expect with The Dragon's Vamp...

What does a Dragon shifter do when she’s told her soul mate has been chosen—fight like hell.

Welcome to AlstonMaine a place where different Other Kin species have lived in peace and thrived for centuries, because dragon shifter, Mariwen Gawain placed them there.

Wanting the freedom to live her life and see the world after her first battle with the darkness, Mari handpicks certain Other Kin who want nothing but peace, and lead them to a place where they can live their lives free of clan or tribal fighting. The only stipulation, they must protect it with their lives, for unbeknownst to the first settlers. Mari’s full-blood dragon father sleeps beneath their feet at the heart of his territory, and she will protect him at all costs.

Centuries later, Mari’s back in Alston to deal with the darkness, her mother, the ancients, and her soul mate. Mari’s fiery spirit takes no hostages when dealing with them all.

Vampire coven leader Rhys Beven is annoyed and distrustful of Mari when she first appears, but then settles down when he trusts his instincts and knows Mari is the one who’s supposed to be his—forever.

Here are a few reviews from Book 1 - The Werewolf's Mate

The Werewolf's Mate has everything it takes for a fun and sexy read. It has hunky Lyken, sexy vampires, and bad-ass fairies all living together in peace until an ancient evil threatens not only their town but their very souls Now, an outcast has returned to save them all - and to claim the man she still loves...

...I must say that I was very impressed with the author's writing. The plot was very interesting. The storyline was consistent.

Spring is Here

Spring is here, or it seems like it is, although it's pretty hard to tell sometimes in Florida. LOL

It's been a little rainy, the humidity and mugginess is back, so yeah defiantly a change in the weather from the nice cool mornings.
I hate walking out a 6:30 am and being stifled from the humidity of the day before it's really even begun. But what's the other choice?? Move, yeah that's a good one, but not in the immediate future :-)
So suffer I will with the pollen, and asthma and "crap get out of my way so I can get to my damn inhaler!" Yeah, it's wonderful right now. ;-p

Don't get me wrong, I love Spring!! I grew up in New England were Spring is appreciated and welcome. I loved when Spring hit, snow melting, flowers blooming, t-shirt weather was back! To me it's just more pronounced than the Florida Spring, which yes, I know, it's the climate and different parts on the country have different weather.

Happy Spring all, Earth Day is quickly approaching, and Arbor Day is looming out there somewhere. :-)

Here's a few quotes to leave you with, as always, have a great day and read lots!!

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"  ~Robin Williams

Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer.  ~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go.  ~Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.  ~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

Arbor Day Quotes

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.  The next best time is now.  ~Chinese Proverb

You can live for years next door to a big pine tree, honored to have so venerable a neighbor, even when it sheds needles all over your flowers or wakes you, dropping big cones onto your deck at still of night.  ~Denise Levertov

If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer.  But if he spends his days as a speculator, shearing off those woods and making the earth bald before her time, he is deemed an industrious and enterprising citizen.  ~Henry David Thoreau

I never saw a discontented tree.  They grip the ground as though they liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do.  They go wandering forth in all directions with every wind, going and coming like ourselves, traveling with us around the sun two million miles a day, and through space heaven knows how fast and far!  ~John Muir

Hug a tree and have a wonderfully happy day ... oh and read lots :-D

Teenagers, Reading & Self-Respect Quotes

In my day, we didn't have self-esteem, we had self-respect, and no more of it than we had earned.  ~Jane Haddam

He that respects himself is safe from others; he wears a coat of mail that none can pierce.  ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The young always have the same problem - how to rebel and conform at the same time.  They have now solved this by defying their parents and copying one another.  ~Quentin Crisp

If you want to recapture your youth, just cut off his allowance.  ~Al Bernstein

When buying a used car, punch the buttons on the radio.  If all the stations are rock and roll, there's a good chance the transmission is shot.  ~Larry Lujack

When the boy is growing he has a wolf in his belly.  ~German Proverb

Ha, ha gotta love those quotes on teenagers. Mine is going on Seventeen and I have to say, the best kid in the world!

We not only went to the library yesterday, where we checked out four books, bought three in their book store but also went to Books-A-Million and spent over $75.00.

I don't mind buying any kind of book. If asked Mom will purchase :-) My teenager happens to be severe to profound dyslexic and we've come a loooong way. So when asked if a book or several can be bought, I never say no. :-)

Here's to a wonderful Sunday!! Read lots and stay healthy!!

Earth Day 2013

Earth Day is April 22nd, this year. Two years ago I was given a Dog Wood sapling on Earth Day, that I've happily nurtured and just recently the little bugger was re-potted by my husband, to a nicer and bigger pot. One day it'll find a home when I decide where I'd like to put her for life.

I also love our new town. They give recycling buckets and pick up once a week. Ours is always full :-)

Tread lightly on Mother Earth for we only have one. ~ Author C. A. Salo

Every day is Earth Day.  ~Author Unknown

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.  ~Native American Proverb

For 200 years we've been conquering Nature.  Now we're beating it to death.  ~Tom McMillan, quoted in Francesca Lyman, The Greenhouse Trap, 1990

Humankind has not woven the web of life.  We are but one thread within it.  Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.  All things are bound together.  All things connect.  ~Chief Seattle, 1855

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.  ~Cree Indian Proverb

Have a great Wednesday and read lots!!
