Final Story to The Other Kin Series - The Guardian's Bond

Who says guardians can’t be sexy and sassy, with one hell of a right hook?

Alston guardian, Olivia Roven, knows how dangerous her job can be, and has felt the darkness that can tear families apart. Rushing home to save her aunt from a Dragon Hunter, Olivia discovers a bigger plot against Alston.

Livi radiates sassiness, especially toward Tommy Moilanin, her former childhood friend, and unbeknownst to Livi…her future mate. Kept apart so she could concentrate on her training, Livi realizes how strong her bond with Tommy is.

Tommy is a Lyken warrior, strong and proud, and he makes sure Livi’s guardian side understands his dominance, as their bond grows into a relationship they both yearn for.

Livi lifted her gaze to the council members. “I meant what I said. I haven’t been out there twiddling my thumbs. I’ve been learning how to better defend Alston against anything that might come up. I’ve made friends and I’ve trained well. I know what I’m doing and I’m asking for the chance to finish this out. Let me do what I have to, let me be the Guardian I am, the Guardian I’ve trained to be.” Her gut twisted as they looked at each other, mentally syncing to discuss what would be happening. Her nostrils flared sensing Tommy stepping closer to her and stopped when the council met her gaze. Livi blew out a breath slowly as Elder Noela informed her that she would continue to stay close to this Hunter on Alston and inform the Security Forces daily of her findings. She was also to keep a mental line open to any member within hearing in case she needed help.

“ I accept your stipulations and I will follow them. Also know that Triton is a call away to help, but with Pele getting ready to deliver their first child, he’s decided to stay close to Hawaii.” Bowing, she turned and left the chamber with Tommy and Peter close behind.

“ I don’t like it,” Tommy said.

“ Oh, I know that,” Livi replied as she unzipped her ceremonial robes, heading to the women’s side of the chamber.

“ Christ, Livi.”

“ What?” she asked turning, zipper stopping at her navel.

“ Can’t you even wear underclothes?” he asked as Peter chuckled.

Livi smiled. “No, I hate them.”

“ Must be the Fae in you.”

Livi snorted. “Hell no, it’s the Lyken.” Turning back around she let the robe drop, catching it with one hand as she entered the women’s door, knowing she gave him a good view of her backside.

“ She’s going to be the death of me,” Tommy groaned to her soft laughter.

Pirating sites...

OK, so why do people think it's alright to steal??

e-Book theft is a BIG problem I wish they would do something about.

It's like walking into a grocery store and walking out with an apple without paying for it.
SAME CONCEPT.

YES, putting an authors book(s) up on a site after you read it for anyone in the world to download or read for free is WRONG OF YOU TO DO!

We authors, our publishers, editors, cover artist and everyone in between work hard to put books out there.

When someone downloads a book for FREE instead of buying it,  it's called...STEALING, anyway you want to look at it.

(If you're looking for FREE books, to download legally-read to the bottom)

Here's an example for you... pirating people.

You go to work, work your 8 hours.
You go to get your money for your hard days work and the boss tells you...What, you want to be paid for your work? HA, what are you kidding, we're like one of those pirating sites, we take your work and you get nothing for it.
OR
Ever worked any overtime, been promised mileage or get an 'oh go ahead and buy that',we'll pay you. AND they don't...

HOW would you feel??
Angry, pissed, furious...

WELL guess what ... That's how we feel when someone pirates our hard work.
Not to mention the copyright infringements and legal stuff.

Why am I sooooo ticked????

I'll tell you. I had to send legal notification of copyright infringements to TWO sites in the matter of ten minutes!!
AND I know there are many more out there. (sad)

I have to feed my family too you know! And people who download my books from a pirating site, is STEALING food, clothing, and educational experiences from MY child!

Now there are some awesome publishers who GIVE books away for FREE at Amazon, and Barnes & Noble as promotional tools.

I have a NOOK and I receive several publisher newsletters and emails about FREE books being given away.

So I go on my NOOK and if I like the blurb and the book...
YES, I'll download, BECAUSE IT'S BEING GIVEN AWAY FOR A FREE PROMOTION BY THE PUBLISHER!

See the difference??

PLEASE see the difference and END these pirating sites.

Many hugs
C~
