Paperback Option Available - Zack

Good Morning!!

I have an update for you😀

Amazon has the option of a paperback for ZACK😀

So if you'd rather hold that paperback in your hand instead of the ebook option, it's available for you.

ebook is available through Amazon, B&N, Apple, KOBO MOBI, and MORE.

I love options!

In about 3-5 business days both options will be available on Amazon Europe.

ZACK - back cover blurb

Shy Sydney Ripley is set up as an undercover target due to her drug using, scheming sister with sticky fingers.

When put under watch by the Special Investigations Unit, to see whether Sydney is in on the thefts occurring at the DA’s office. Lead Detective Zachary Mac Cloud encompasses her into his covert world as he searches for the truth.

Torn between the feelings he’s starting to feel for her and his job, Mac yearns for Sydney and the end of the case, knowing once she finds out who he is, she may not want anything more to do with him.

So, while I'm working on the 2nd book in the Undercover Lover Series
Gabe 😉😀
(I'm thinking a little more spicier than Zack😉)

I have a western, placed in Montana at my copy editors right now 😊
The My Montana Man series will be Spicy 😀

Yes, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone of Sci-Fi and Paranormal.
While I love both and will continue to write both, I'm trying my hand at contemporary and western also, and who knows maybe historical one day😁

So my peeps,  have a magical day!

Book Spotlight & Guest Blogger - A Celtic Heart by: Joseph Scott

A collection of nature themed poetry and prose by Joseph W. Scott. It has a "New Age" feel for an old world tradition of reverence and passion for our environment. A resident of Massachusetts, Joseph W. Scott has published three books of poetry, from which many of these works have been selected, and was nominated for Amateur Poet of the Year in 2003 by the American Poetry Society. A small percent of the proceeds from this book will go toward protecting our wildlife and their habitat.

Good Morning Joseph and welcome to my blog. Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

I grew up on a small farm in Massachusetts.  I am a Veteran of both the Army and the Air Force.  I currently work as an Avionics Technician for the United States Air Force.  Avionics is what we call all the electronic fight systems in an aircraft.

I studied wildlife and forestry conservation and volunteer for The National Audubon society in trail clean ups.  I’ve been married to my wife Heather for a little more than 15 years and have three children.

That's awesome!! Thank you so much for your service of this great country and continued service in Avionics!

For my readers who are saying, hey you're both from Massachusetts. Yes, Joe and I know each other. We attended the same technical high school and were in the same trade. Electronics.

Back to A Celtic Heart. Joseph, can you tell us a little more about your book and your inspiration behind the making of it.

“A Celtic Heart” is a combination of my first three books:  Shades of Summers Past, The Forest Through, and The Romance and the Tragedies.

I do not want to say it is a “best of” but more a Celtic oriented themed book of me.  I wanted something that summed me up; the essence of my work.

I am very happy with the result.  It is all three rolled into one: Memories and a nature loving romantic.

Three is a magic number they say.  It has been my number since, well, as long as I can remember; maybe because I am the third child in my family.  I have worn that number since I was a child in all the sports teams I have played for so I felt it was fitting to roll the three books into one.

I am inspired by the natural world.  The wilderness, the oceans, the mountains, just everything about the Earth is awe-inspiring.

I find my muse along a brook in the middle of the woods or on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean.  I humble myself before the majesty of nature and in the process I find myself.  I’m not sure if it’s my “Scots-Irish” blood that draws me to the traditions of the Celts but in my book “A Celtic Heart”, it was my intent to try and pass along some of that tradition while also helping others to maybe find their own peace.

That is truly inspiring!! Joseph, thank you so much for blogging with me today!! Before you go, can you tell the readers, What is your favorite place to write? On Earth and Off 😊

There is a spot in the woods near where I grew up.  Three fields and a small wooded patch where a brook runs and that makes the most amazing sounds.  There is a crab-apple tree in the middle of one of the fields that is enormous and if you read my book, well there you are.  Many of my poems are from that spot.

“Off Earth,” the moon.

Cool Beans!! Again, Joe thanks for stopping by!! Say hi to Heather and the kids for me, stay warm up there and Merry Christmas!!

Simple Strawberry Mousse

Simple Strawberry Mousse Recipe
Photo: Romulo Yanes; Styling: Helen Crowther

Ingredients

1 cup finely chopped strawberries
1/2 cup sugar, divided
5 tablespoons water, divided
3/4 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
Dash of salt
2 large egg whites
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Preparation

1. Combine chopped strawberries and 1 tablespoon sugar in the bowl of a mini chopper or food processor, and toss gently. Let stand for 10 minutes. Process until smooth.
2. Pour 2 tablespoons water in a large bowl, and sprinkle with gelatin. Let stand for 5 minutes.
3. Place 6 tablespoons sugar, the remaining 3 tablespoons water, and dash of salt in a small heavy saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil, stirring just until sugar dissolves. Cook, without stirring, until a candy thermometer registers 240° (about 4 minutes). Add egg whites to gelatin mixture; beat with a mixer at high speed until foamy. Gradually add remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, beating at high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually pour hot sugar syrup into egg white mixture, beating first at medium speed and then at high speed until stiff peaks form. Beat in vanilla.
4. Place cream in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form. Gently fold one-fourth of egg white mixture into whipped cream. Fold in the remaining egg white mixture. Fold in strawberry mixture. Spoon about 1/2 cup mousse into each of 6 dessert glasses; chill 2 hours or until set.

Final Story to The Other Kin Series - The Guardian's Bond

Who says guardians can’t be sexy and sassy, with one hell of a right hook?

Alston guardian, Olivia Roven, knows how dangerous her job can be, and has felt the darkness that can tear families apart. Rushing home to save her aunt from a Dragon Hunter, Olivia discovers a bigger plot against Alston.

Livi radiates sassiness, especially toward Tommy Moilanin, her former childhood friend, and unbeknownst to Livi…her future mate. Kept apart so she could concentrate on her training, Livi realizes how strong her bond with Tommy is.

Tommy is a Lyken warrior, strong and proud, and he makes sure Livi’s guardian side understands his dominance, as their bond grows into a relationship they both yearn for.

****

Livi lifted her gaze to the council members. “I meant what I said. I haven’t been out there twiddling my thumbs. I’ve been learning how to better defend Alston against anything that might come up. I’ve made friends and I’ve trained well. I know what I’m doing and I’m asking for the chance to finish this out. Let me do what I have to, let me be the Guardian I am, the Guardian I’ve trained to be.” Her gut twisted as they looked at each other, mentally syncing to discuss what would be happening. Her nostrils flared sensing Tommy stepping closer to her and stopped when the council met her gaze. Livi blew out a breath slowly as Elder Noela informed her that she would continue to stay close to this Hunter on Alston and inform the Security Forces daily of her findings. She was also to keep a mental line open to any member within hearing in case she needed help.

“ I accept your stipulations and I will follow them. Also know that Triton is a call away to help, but with Pele getting ready to deliver their first child, he’s decided to stay close to Hawaii.” Bowing, she turned and left the chamber with Tommy and Peter close behind.

“ I don’t like it,” Tommy said.

“ Oh, I know that,” Livi replied as she unzipped her ceremonial robes, heading to the women’s side of the chamber.

“ Christ, Livi.”

“ What?” she asked turning, zipper stopping at her navel.

“ Can’t you even wear underclothes?” he asked as Peter chuckled.

Livi smiled. “No, I hate them.”

“ Must be the Fae in you.”

Livi snorted. “Hell no, it’s the Lyken.” Turning back around she let the robe drop, catching it with one hand as she entered the women’s door, knowing she gave him a good view of her backside.

“ She’s going to be the death of me,” Tommy groaned to her soft laughter.

Pirating sites...

OK, so why do people think it's alright to steal??

e-Book theft is a BIG problem I wish they would do something about.

It's like walking into a grocery store and walking out with an apple without paying for it.
SAME CONCEPT.

YES, putting an authors book(s) up on a site after you read it for anyone in the world to download or read for free is WRONG OF YOU TO DO!

We authors, our publishers, editors, cover artist and everyone in between work hard to put books out there.

When someone downloads a book for FREE instead of buying it,  it's called...STEALING, anyway you want to look at it.

(If you're looking for FREE books, to download legally-read to the bottom)

Here's an example for you... pirating people.

You go to work, work your 8 hours.
You go to get your money for your hard days work and the boss tells you...What, you want to be paid for your work? HA, what are you kidding, we're like one of those pirating sites, we take your work and you get nothing for it.
OR
Ever worked any overtime, been promised mileage or get an 'oh go ahead and buy that',we'll pay you. AND they don't...

HOW would you feel??
Angry, pissed, furious...

WELL guess what ... That's how we feel when someone pirates our hard work.
Not to mention the copyright infringements and legal stuff.

Why am I sooooo ticked????

I'll tell you. I had to send legal notification of copyright infringements to TWO sites in the matter of ten minutes!!
AND I know there are many more out there. (sad)

I have to feed my family too you know! And people who download my books from a pirating site, is STEALING food, clothing, and educational experiences from MY child!

Now there are some awesome publishers who GIVE books away for FREE at Amazon, and Barnes & Noble as promotional tools.

I have a NOOK and I receive several publisher newsletters and emails about FREE books being given away.

So I go on my NOOK and if I like the blurb and the book...
YES, I'll download, BECAUSE IT'S BEING GIVEN AWAY FOR A FREE PROMOTION BY THE PUBLISHER!

See the difference??

PLEASE see the difference and END these pirating sites.

Many hugs
C~

Samsung Galaxy S3 - Upgrade :-)

Woot!! I can't tell you how excited I am to FINALLY be in the 'smart'!! :-)
For my birthday my wonderful husband went and bought me a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I love it!!
I know the S4 just came out, that's ok, I didn't want that one LOL.

So I'm finally tuned in to the smart phone world. My old phone text, made calls and took pictures, which was fine with me, but I wanted to be more hooked up :-) and after playing with my sister-in laws G3, I wanted one, hehehehe.

So yes, I have the marble white one like in the picture above and I can't wait to see everything it can do. My husband's showing me the 'basic' stuff so I don't get frustrated and throw it across the room :-)

He asked if I'd played with it, to customize it to my likes and I told him... "I didn't want to hit the wrong button and have the thing crash on me or something." LOL.
He chuckled then told me there's nothing I can do that he can't fix. *Phew* I love it that he's so techie!! And cute, he's cute too!! Woot!! :-D  YAY!!

Hope everyone has a great day and read lots!!

Hey, now I can download the Nook app, and the Amazon app and....   :-D
LOVE IT!!

Have a great day all!!
