Teenagers, Reading & Self-Respect Quotes

In my day, we didn't have self-esteem, we had self-respect, and no more of it than we had earned.  ~Jane Haddam

He that respects himself is safe from others; he wears a coat of mail that none can pierce.  ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The young always have the same problem - how to rebel and conform at the same time.  They have now solved this by defying their parents and copying one another.  ~Quentin Crisp

If you want to recapture your youth, just cut off his allowance.  ~Al Bernstein

When buying a used car, punch the buttons on the radio.  If all the stations are rock and roll, there's a good chance the transmission is shot.  ~Larry Lujack

When the boy is growing he has a wolf in his belly.  ~German Proverb

Ha, ha gotta love those quotes on teenagers. Mine is going on Seventeen and I have to say, the best kid in the world!

We not only went to the library yesterday, where we checked out four books, bought three in their book store but also went to Books-A-Million and spent over $75.00.

I don't mind buying any kind of book. If asked Mom will purchase :-) My teenager happens to be severe to profound dyslexic and we've come a loooong way. So when asked if a book or several can be bought, I never say no. :-)

Here's to a wonderful Sunday!! Read lots and stay healthy!!
