Playing Catch Up
I just hate not feeling well. November has been a tough month around here with this cold that just will NOT go away, and the loss of our little loved one.
And we all know how well things get done around the house when the major cleaner is down and out.
LOL
Not one heck of a lot!!
So I'm playing catch up. Not only on my cleaning, cooking, laundry, everyday house hold chores, but on my editing, writing, and the day jobs paperwork. BLAH!
CALGON - TAKE ME AWAY, hahahahaha
I hope everyone had a great turkey day. We celebrated two days of eating, visiting and being happy. One with the honey's family, and one with my own.
I didn't go out shopping yesterday. Nope not that crazy!! Instead I surfed the internet and bought a few things in my pj's, Hehehehe, see how I am.
Have a great day everyone!!

The Rock
There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy. 25 in rural Iowa .
For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times.
A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight.
Be sure to scrolldown and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock.
At the very end, you'll meet the young artist. I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Our Loss
I weep this day for we have lost a member of our family.
Last night at 7:23, our beloved Pug Beaudunk passed away.
I am thankful that we were there with him as he took his last breaths from this world to the next. He knew he wasn't alone in his last moments and was surrounded by those who loved him.
He would have been 15 years old January 22, 2009. So a full and happy life he has led.
He was my first child, my son's older brother, and our little one eyed leg lifter. For you see, he lost one eye during his youthful escapades, and well, lifted his leg and pee'd on my dad's leg.
When I first held him, he fit onto the palm of my hand. When I last held him, his little head lay onto the palm of my hand.
He was and always will be my little baby.
Today he will be cremated and continue to reside with us. Later, he will meet us as we come to him.
We Love you Beau

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

Okay, my BFF recently sent this to me, and I laughed my butt off, so I thought I'd share!
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU!
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.
* Inform the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.
* Tell all the women you know to give them a good laugh, cause they know it's true!!!

I was also able to do something I hadn't done in a looooong time...READ.
Yeppers, I cuddled up on the couch with a Harlequin Historical, and read fro two days. It was nice, I think I'll plan met time to do it once a month.
