Finishing the Shopping

Will I be one of those out on Christmas Eve getting kicked out of the store while trying to grab for those last minute gifts I forgot to buy so the employees can close and go home to their own families ???

Heck No!!

Today is the day I am finishing all my Christmas shopping. YAY!! I only have a few items to pick up and will be hitting the stores.

After working in those retail stores during my 'younger years' and during the holidays, I refuse to add to the hustle and bustle.

Now all I have to do is get past the parade down down and I'm off!! YAY!!

The Christmas shopping is done!! Finished last night, just a few stocking stuffers to grab and 24 hr Walgreens is good for that!!

My friend and I had a girls day yesterday and we made the most of it! First a nail appointment, hey we have to look good picking out those gifts right, LOL. Then home to bake some more goodies. Yes, the kitchen is still a mess, but we had a grand ole' time!! Then on to the shopping. Oh yes the shopping. *Grins* we even went down and hit the adult store to get some private goodies for our honeys *batting eyelashes* I'm stopping there, oh and Merry Christmas sweetie *flirty wink*

Now I have to say we saw three accidents narrowly escape each other from happening, at least that same amount in what looked like drunk drivers at various times in front of us and the local kids singing karaoke at Applebees where we stopped to grab the sampler. Some of them were actually quiet good. Do talent spotters or scouts or what ever you call them even hang out in these places?

So made it home about 15 to midnight and watched some Japanese Anime. I also made a decision.
I'm taking my newsletter from monthly to quarterly. Not to sure how many of you go to the website to check it out, but honestly, I've been either busy or just too tired with the day job, home schooling and well life, to keep up the monthly pace. Writing's become 'the' priority when I have some down time, so that's where my energies are focused.

I hope everyone out there has a safe holiday, watch out for those crazy drivers and eat well!!

Shopping...Are You Done Yet??

Okay, so this past week has been all about Christmas and the shopping of for it.Wednesday night was a girls night. YEAH!!

We go out once a year, Christmas shop and then go to eat. We found some great deals, things we never thought we would have found off line, and I made a business network connection, which guarantees me an extra $200. How Good can it get!!

So I have to say going to a restaurant at 9 PM is a great way to wind down. The place was practically empty, and sitting out on the patio under a palm covered table, with a view of the Bay and sailboats put up for the night, was AWESOME!!

Not to mention the soft sound of music coming from the semi crowed bar, also out under the moonlight, not to far away. And the Tiki torches lighting the pathway.

Yeah, it was a great way to end the night.

And yep, I live in Florida. I know, I know, but hey, it’s been hitting the freezing mark here the past few nights.

Last night registered around 50 at 9:00. Coming from a Christmas Party, my toes got a bit chilly. I’ve taken the Floridian roll of no nylons, and wore open toed shoes.

Felt a bit funny at first, but hey, the pedicure looked great!!

I only have a few stocking stuffers left to get, then I AM DONE!! YEAH ME!!

Playing Catch Up

I just hate not feeling well. November has been a tough month around here with this cold that just will NOT go away, and the loss of our little loved one.
And we all know how well things get done around the house when the major cleaner is down and out.
LOL
Not one heck of a lot!!
So I'm playing catch up. Not only on my cleaning, cooking, laundry, everyday house hold chores, but on my editing, writing, and the day jobs paperwork. BLAH!

CALGON - TAKE ME AWAY, hahahahaha

I hope everyone had a great turkey day. We celebrated two days of eating, visiting and being happy. One with the honey's family, and one with my own.

I didn't go out shopping yesterday. Nope not that crazy!! Instead I surfed the internet and bought a few things in my pj's, Hehehehe, see how I am.
