Florida cold and The Winter Olympics 2014

I know the weather up North’s been frightful and no where has been delightful during this winter season, or at least that’s what the news is saying.

Some of my friends in New England are crossing their fingers for Spring or at least snow on a day off so they don’t have to leave an hour earlier to get to work.

Florida has been up and down and it’s really killing my sinus’. One day it’s 54 and balmy, the next it’s 44 and raw. Pollen high, Pollen low “Grrrrrr Arrrrrrrg” Fog every where.

I want to wrap my hands around weathers neck and shake, like Homer does to Bart and say. “Make up your damn mind all ready!”

We’ve even had more than several nights of hard freezes. You know 22 degrees at 11 PM and it has no where to go but down and they don’t call it off until 9 the next morning. I keep asking myself.   “Am I in Massachusetts again?”  Oh wait – NOT.

(Sarcasm) Yes, welcome to Florida.  Hi there, how ya doing. Oranges are lovely, grapefruits, Mmmmm. Warm, hmmmm not right now, It’s not sunshine and smiles all the time.

I took a picture on my way to work one morning with the frost on the grass along the roadside, not sure how well you’ll be able to tell, but it’s white and not green. LOL.

The good news is we finally received a bunch of rain in area. YES, thank you!! Although driving in it yesterday was a pain in the butt!!

So I say to my friends up North – take your cold weather back. LOL, I really don’t want to pull out my cold weather gear.

And how about those Winter Olympics going on in Sochi!! I was at my grandmother's house yesterday and we started watching them. The Men's Snow Boarding came on, can I say Holy Crap Guys!!
You guys are awesome!! GO USA!!!!

My favorite is the ice skating, both singles and couples. I remember my Auntie had it on every winter Olympics and I'd sit on the couch with her and watch. Smart enough, 'not' to try it out on the ice

Down sick ... blah

Blah is right!! I started a great new 'day' job today and what starts happening ... *Drum roll please*

I start feeling the sickness, nope not Dope's Down with the Sickness :-) sillys.

But the flu, cold aggravating body aching stuffy head sickness that I really did not need!! AND THEN, AND THEN...I get home to find out that my son is  ... boom boom boom ...sick too.

Thank you Uncle K (you know who you are - giving you the stink eye man.) who brought this wonderful little present from NY, LOL, and passing on this Christmas gift, although if I could give it back I would, and i don't think anyone would blame me!! Hahahahaha

So it's chicken noodle soup for me, some cold/flu meds and off to bed, along with my puppy so I can hug him and cuddle him and get a good night's rest. :-)

 Sleep well all!!

Playing Catch Up

I just hate not feeling well. November has been a tough month around here with this cold that just will NOT go away, and the loss of our little loved one.
And we all know how well things get done around the house when the major cleaner is down and out.
LOL
Not one heck of a lot!!
So I'm playing catch up. Not only on my cleaning, cooking, laundry, everyday house hold chores, but on my editing, writing, and the day jobs paperwork. BLAH!

CALGON - TAKE ME AWAY, hahahahaha

I hope everyone had a great turkey day. We celebrated two days of eating, visiting and being happy. One with the honey's family, and one with my own.

I didn't go out shopping yesterday. Nope not that crazy!! Instead I surfed the internet and bought a few things in my pj's, Hehehehe, see how I am.

Have a great day everyone!!

The Last Week

I haven't been on for the last week, fighting a COLD. BLAH!! Throat is still a bit scratchy, but being laid up wasn't so bad.

So stop by and check my shelves out.

I was also able to do something I hadn't done in a looooong time...READ.

Yeppers, I cuddled up on the couch with a Harlequin Historical, and read fro two days. It was nice, I think I'll plan met time to do it once a month.
