Florida cold and The Winter Olympics 2014

I know the weather up North’s been frightful and no where has been delightful during this winter season, or at least that’s what the news is saying.

Some of my friends in New England are crossing their fingers for Spring or at least snow on a day off so they don’t have to leave an hour earlier to get to work.

Florida has been up and down and it’s really killing my sinus’. One day it’s 54 and balmy, the next it’s 44 and raw. Pollen high, Pollen low “Grrrrrr Arrrrrrrg” Fog every where.

I want to wrap my hands around weathers neck and shake, like Homer does to Bart and say. “Make up your damn mind all ready!”

We’ve even had more than several nights of hard freezes. You know 22 degrees at 11 PM and it has no where to go but down and they don’t call it off until 9 the next morning. I keep asking myself.   “Am I in Massachusetts again?”  Oh wait – NOT.

(Sarcasm) Yes, welcome to Florida.  Hi there, how ya doing. Oranges are lovely, grapefruits, Mmmmm. Warm, hmmmm not right now, It’s not sunshine and smiles all the time.

I took a picture on my way to work one morning with the frost on the grass along the roadside, not sure how well you’ll be able to tell, but it’s white and not green. LOL.

The good news is we finally received a bunch of rain in area. YES, thank you!! Although driving in it yesterday was a pain in the butt!!

So I say to my friends up North – take your cold weather back. LOL, I really don’t want to pull out my cold weather gear.

And how about those Winter Olympics going on in Sochi!! I was at my grandmother's house yesterday and we started watching them. The Men's Snow Boarding came on, can I say Holy Crap Guys!!
You guys are awesome!! GO USA!!!!

My favorite is the ice skating, both singles and couples. I remember my Auntie had it on every winter Olympics and I'd sit on the couch with her and watch. Smart enough, 'not' to try it out on the ice

A/C's Out & I'm Grumpy :-(

Ahhhh, so I'm out yesterday, having a wonderful day at the spa and then I went to lunch and some shopping with my grandmother. LOVE HER!! Then off to see my cousin and visit before starting on my two hour trek home my husband texts me ... A/C is out.

I call, honey what do you mean the A/C is out?? Yep, it's out and he's contacted the owner (who lives in Texas). We're renting the house while ours is being built, and it's a wonderful house, and our landlord is great and he was right on it getting a hold of the warranty people.

Well the A/C company the warranty people have 'does not work on weekends.'
REALLY???????

It's FLORIDA

So needless to say when I walked into my house last night at 8 PM it was 90 degrees AHHHHHHHH.

Sleeping last night was a pure pain the arse!

This morning is grumpyville even with a cup of coffee sitting in front of me.

All ceiling fans are going and my wonderful husband is on the phone with them right now (9:43AM) to try and get an update on if they've found another A/C company to come out, because his honeysuckle - oh that would be me :-) is a bear in hot and humid weather. Grrr Arrrg.
And he knows they don't want this momma bear on the phone when she's grumpy. He's my calm, patient one LOL, yeah he has to be to be married to me :-)

My dad's funny, he says 'it was 40 up here last night'.
Thanks dad! Love you!!

I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say this...

is NOT the hot we like!

We like this...

And this...

And this defiantly ...

Have a great day and wish me coolness!! :-)

Crazy Drivers...

See this sign...

Yep, saw it a lot myself on our vacation. From Florida to Massachusetts. Going up and coming back.
Ok, so, let's give them kudos on actually trying to fix the highways and byways, but what's with drivers when there are "No" working signs and all of a sudden we're slamming on our brakes in the middle of the highway, then we get back up to a good 30 MPH and Blamo, slamming on the breaks again, then you have the well, I'll whip over to this lane and that lane and this lane again, because they look like they're going faster people [ Insert Homer strangling Bart ] Quick give me my blood pressure meds, LOL.

Living in my part of Florida, I've noticed that here we have some pretty decent roads. What can I say...Mass hasn't changed. You still can't see the lines on the Mass Pike at night and the instant ramp on, *here we come* to the ramp off 200 feet from that...yeah, don't know how I didn't crash while learning how to drive, LOL. Oh but wait... I still say in crazy driving situations, which are usually in big cities ..."Don't make me go Mass on you!" LOL.

Hope you all have a great day!!
