Happy St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time - a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic.  ~Adrienne Cook

For each petal on the shamrock
This brings a wish your way -
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
~Irish Blessing

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
~Irish Blessing

Wedded Bliss...Coming Soon

You know as soon as I wrote the post title, I hit the back button, erasing it saying 'that sounds too much like a book.'
And then I put it back :-)
Because it is a good title for a book, so ahhh what the heck right! LOL.

But it's really for "the only 6 more Sundays" I have until I walk down the aisle, or in my case a beautiful pathway in the woods.
Last minute details are getting done, the wedding planner is on top of everything and we go for our engagement photo shoot today. Woooooo right. Hahahahaha.

It's nothing but a planned chaos around here with the day job, homeschooling, writing and wedding planning. But Aaahhhhh, gotta love it!! And I do!!!!!!!  :-)

So those two Ellora's Cave Books I downloaded onto my Nook will have to wait a few more days or weeks, until I have a chance to crack them open!!

The third book in my Other Kin Series is going well, it's all been plotted out and hopefully tonight after we get back and my day off tomorrow I'll be working on the little baby to get her rolling real well and finished quick, so I can get the fourth book that's been itching at me out of my head LOL.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday and a safe and happy Martin Luther King Day.

Happy reading!!!!!

The Wedding Dress hunt BEGINS!!!!

Good morning all!!!!
Yes, the wedding dress hunt begins today!! Woot!!
My BFF from Massachusetts flew in early this morning.

Thank you United for those two delays and 2 AM arrival. ;-)
Although it really wasn't the airlines fault. Before take off, there was an emergency landing of another United plane at Logan, and then they turned the connecting flight around so two TSA Agents could take two individuals off the plane in Newark. I thank you for taking seemingly belligerents off the plane and way from my best friend in the whole wide world!!

So yes, we are off and shopping today and tomorrow!! Updates to follow *YAY*

Don't forget my MEGA BOOK for The Mercenaries of Neris Series is releasing in September 2012 with
*YAY*!! I can't wait!!
and
October 2012 Comes my new Paranormal Series Other Kin ~ The Werewolf's Mate.

Have a great Sunday and Happy reading!!!!

Going Against Tradition

Yes, I am.

I recently became engaged to my beau and because I'm doing things on my own, several people have gotten, shall we say 'rather pissy' to the point that one immediate family member refuses to speak with me.

Why you ask...because I did not call them to tell them of the engagement. I did not follow etiquette and let them know first. I emailed them.

Oh hold on-- I emailed or text everyone but my Grandmother, who has no computer and doesn't know how to text.

YES, I broke tradition...I told my Grandmother first! Oh holy cow right, the sky's going to fall, Run people run!! :-)

Beside my grandmother, my dad is the closest 'adult' figure in my life and he had no problem with it, as long as I'm happy.

(Notice how I did the ' ' on adult up there lol. That's because I'm going to be 41, and I am an adult so how do I do that one differently...I could call them my elders, but I might get slapped on the back of the head.  ;-p  lol)

Seriously folks, why do people seem to think they can tell you what to do when they actually have no say in, well anything?

The point is--this is not their event, the only thing it has to do with them is to show up, smile, drink my drinks and eat my food.

Yes, we are getting married outside, our reception is going to be under the trees,

Yes, my first dance with my new husband is going to be barefoot. Why? because we want it that way.

Why did I go venue shopping with only my fiance?  Because...It's our day and we want what is going to make us happy.

Guess what, if you don't like it...then don't come. Easy as pie.

Why did I go wedding dress shopping by
myself?  Because I wanted to pick out what I liked. Not what others "Think" I should be wearing.   (Not that it's anything out of the ordinary *Grins* I wouldn't want to scare people hehehehehe...or maybe *snicker*)

What's that old saying...If you don't have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all.  Can I add in there "Stop giving your opinions too?" LOL.

On the writing side...several manuscripts have been sent out for submission, I'm working on a third as we speak, so the writing's been  GOOD  :-)

It's just the waiting period of the submission that kills me lol. Waiting has never been one of my strong suits.

I also have a BIG mega book coming out in September with Whiskey Creek Press Torrid,  Woot, Woot!!

Well I need another coffee, so Happy Sunday and Happy Reading all!!!!

Spring Planting...

I picked up the compost and the potting soil yesterday morning after signing up for my concealed weapons permit class :-) so when the heat of the day (Yes, Florida, it was in the 80's and higher) went down around 6, I started planting my herbs and some flowers last night.
So far I have Lavender, Rosemary, Basil, Spearmint and few flowers planted in my flower box and in pots.
Today's another day and I'll be tackling the seeding of carrots, beans and some other flowers and planting my three different kinds of pepper plants, zucchini and yellow squash.

For the seedlings I'm not going to start them in ground, I'm going to use a few old egg cartons and my grocery store sells salads in these large containers, so I figured what better way to recycle than to start growing some flowers in them.

I'm also going to be starting Lily of The Valley for my wedding next March. Such a beautiful little plant, it's not only my birth flower, but I remember my Grandma Salo had a large circle of nothing but Lily of the Valley with a rock in the center. (The things we remember as kids right :-) She'd carved a twelve foot totem pole as well.)

Well have a great day all!!!! I'm off and running--with coffee in hand :-)

Wedding on the horizon...

Yeppers, that's right :-) On February 29, 2012, my man and I decided to make it official...next year :-) Woo - Hoo!! *rubbing my hands together* I can't wait!!!!!!!!

So that means planning, planning planning. We're tossing two dates around because it's so hot here in Florida and we want an outdoor ceremony, but we don't want to sweat to death or our guests, boy that would be stinky :-)

Besides already knowing it's going to be a small and intimate ceremony and reception, that means the dreaded...'cutting people from the list'...damn I hate that and I know some family and friends may be upset or take it the wrong way and I'm sorry for that!! But, the most people we want there is 18-20. That equals only immediate family on both sides. You know, moms, dads, brothers & their families, grandma's.

Venue shopping isn't as easy as it looks either. We want a metro area, away from our quiet little town life so our guests can enjoy themselves when not in the midst of wedding stuff, like Disney :-) hey this may be their only vacation time of the year, so we want to make sure they'd be plenty of other things to do around the area. but....there's that dang but again. We have our newest little family member "Elvis" a ten pound miniature dachshund. Most hotels & B&B's will not accept small pets. I know, *sigh* I've looked. Now the cat on the other hand will be just fine as long as there's food in her bowl and someone checks her every couple of days.

Then there's the list of "do not's" that the groom wants. Actually it's not so bad :-) I don't want pink either, Hahahaha, but he's a regular meat and potatoes southern man. He doesn't want shrimp on a stick. He wants burgers and steak and a meal that will fill him up so he doesn't have to stop at McDonald's on the way to the room. Ya know what I mean. So the search goes on. We still have time...WELL...unless the world ends on December 21, 2012. *Grumbling* ( I knew I should have listened to my grandma and set the date for this June.) LOL.

*BIG GRINS & HUGS*

Have a great day all!!!!
