Travels

 

So I traveled the good state of Tennessee the week of the 15th.

I was like a ping pong ball checking out properties, LOL. From Athens to Sparta, then over to Knoxville, North Carolina was tossed in there 😁 back to Cleveland and finally back to Florida.

I'm telling you, it wore the crap out of me and took me a week to recover 🤔I may be entering 50, but when you haven't travelled like that in a while, it poops you out!

Not many know, I've been in the affordable property management industry for over 14 years.

Well I've had some changes in my life in the past 6 months and have decided to go into business for myself and have a nest egg for my son, should he want it when I'm ready to retire. 

Retire LOL, what's that word mean? 😉😁😆 seriously 😂 I'm to much like my dad and will never 'fully' retire (especially from my books😉😜). I'll be tootling around with paperwork or cutting a 2x4 out in the garage or good grief, something. LOL.

So I'm gonna put up some photos of my trip. Of course I get caught up in the ice/snow storm that ravaged northern Tennessee, so what do I do -- 

I need to head out and hit Knoxville by 2 pm for a meeting. Hmmm,  take my coffee, go out, watch the interstate, talk to the plow guy when he comes by, borrow an ice scrapper from the hotel (my dad told me to go buy one the night before, I didn't listen, I was lazy and didn't want to go back out. It was 20 degrees 😅) and head out.

And of course I camped. Well kinda camped, LOL. I had no tent so I stayed in a cabin. It had heat and a bed. Yup, I'm that type who loves 7:30 am walks to the bathhouse, pre-coffee, LOL. No seriously, I loved it, I grew up camping in Mass and NH and seriously missed it as I sat at the fire the night before. Peace and quiet. Birds, owls, hawks, running creeks. 💖 I will go back. The camp I stayed at is not fully up and running yet, and the owner is absolutely wonderful!!

So peeps, that's what I did last week and the week before. I need to get off my butt this week coming and get caught up on everything I put off recouping this week 😁

COMING IN MARCH

Seducing Soma - Retrievers Book II

Sunday Funday

 Good morning, good morning,

Florida's had a 'cool' spell this week end. LOL. I found it lovely. By cool, they mean 40's at night, it even reached down into the 30's about an hour from me and high 50's to the 60's during the days. What can I say, it's Florida. LOL.

Lots of happenings this week. My Florida house is going up for sale on 1.25.2021, so we are busy packing, cleaning, scheduling vendors to come in and pressure wash the outside, carpet cleaners, house cleaners, and my lawn guy so everything is looking pretty. Good thing I've worked in property management for over 14 years, 😊  I have plenty of connections and good friends.

So if you are looking for a 4 bedroom/2 bath house in Central Florida. About 45 mins to an hr from Orlando, in a great neighborhood with a country feel, be watching for the links coming up on my Facebook the week of the 25th.

I have started my goal of moving away from working in the corporate world and working for myself in my career of property management, which will give me more time to build on that goal and my writing career. So Win, Win anyway you look at it! 😏 By the way, I am a fierce and strict property manager. I don't play games, I go by the book, and the lease and that's that. 😉 Maybe that's why I'm known for cleaning up troubled communities in the affordable housing world, LOL.😉

Also ...  LOVING JANESKA released on Friday the 15th. Man and let me tell you, that was a project in a half!! I had nothing but issues with the graphics and formatting software and trying to get this book up on eBook and available for print. But she's up at Amazon right now, I'll include the link below, and she will be going up on my D2D account so she'll be available to Apple, Barnes and Noble, ect.

I am also working on getting Book 2 of the Retriever series formatted and working on the cover art finals. I'm telling you. I am not an apple or Mac person, but I am going to be purchasing a Mac laptop and desktop along with the best formatting software out there for formatting. Because Scrivener is a pain in my @$$!! Just being realistic here.

It's Sunday - No work...RIGHT😂, but an easier day, that's for sure. Going through my office is not as bad as I thought, lol. 

OK, I'm out, time to go run around outside with my Elvis and have fun!!

Closing my Twitter Account

 I made a decision today to close my Twitter account.

I've had it since 2009 and haven't seen where it has helped me or my writing, as well as I'd hoped, along with, when you get social media overwhelmed, it's time to let some go.

I'm also closing my personal Facebook account at the same time (Much to the dismay of family and friends). This Sunday January 10, 2021.

I will still have the blog, website and my Facebook Author account. So I'm pretty certain folks will be able to find me and get in touch with me if they need to.

And of course my stories are on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Apple, ect.

I'm BACK!! I think, wait a minute...

 Well, HELLO!!

OMG right!! Sorry I haven't posted on here in a while!! I was going between Social Media overload and a new day job.

So I APOLOGIZE!! to all my readers, blog peeps and anyone who happened to come across my blog.

I have been on Facebook and Twitter, at a minimum, but I've been there.😊

So, I've learned a few new habits while I've been gone. 

The big ONE: Organization

LOL, no I'm not kidding. That's the one thing I love about working with different folks. I can always learn something to better myself, either personally or for my writing or my day job. 

I thought I was organized, key word...THOUGHT

And I guess I was to a 'minimal' degree 😜

I've learned a few new and better ways.

So, I'm going through a day job change at the moment, and I'm not sure, how many days I'll be able to blog a week, so I don't want to promise anything.

The one weekly post, I'd really LOVE to bring back is

"Fun Drink Friday"
